How Does It Work?

All participants will follow a three-phase process:

1. Application

  • Customer identifies opportunity and contacts Efficiency Nova Scotia to confirm eligibility
  • Customer submits New Construction application
  • Initial “kick off” meeting is held with the customer and Efficiency Nova Scotia to agree upon an appropriate implementation plan

2. Design Development

  • Efficiency Nova Scotia representative becomes a part of design team
  • Energy saving measures are identified and analyzed
  • Customer submits required documentation (plans, specifications and costs)
  • Final incentive estimate and implementation package is agreed upon

3. Implementation

  • Project Development Agreement (PDA) is executed
  • Customer advises Efficiency Nova Scotia of progress
  • Efficiency Nova Scotia conducts site visits
  • Efficiency Nova Scotia pays implementation incentive
