Eligibility
To be eligible for rebates, homeowners and/or builders must meet the following criteria:
- The home’s building permit is dated no more than 30 days before the date of application.
- The home’s heating system must have an air or hydronic distribution system unless the home meets or exceeds an EnerGuide rating of 88. - Basements must be insulated to at least the minimum standard required by the Nova Scotia Building Code regardless of its EnerGuide score.
- No rebates will be paid to a completed home with an EnerGuide rating of less than 83.
- Homes must be completed and applications submitted within one year of the PerformancePlus registration date.
