Residential Energy Affordability Program

If you own your home, live on a low income and heat with a source other than electricity, you may be able to access free home energy upgrades through a program formerly run by Conserve Nova Scotia, known as the Residential Energy Affordability Program (REAP).

At this point, there is no way to directly apply for the program.

Participants come from the Department of Community Services’ list of homeowners that have already been pre-approved for other home repairs. Program participants are referred from this list. In Nova Scotia, the Department of Community Services uses income standards that are set by the federal government.  If you are on the list, your case worker will contact us to begin the process.
