EnerGuide home efficiency program continues, despite end of federal share
January 30th, 2012Nova Scotians who want to make their homes more energy efficient can still get money back from the EnerGuide program, despite the end of the federal government’s share of the program.
While the federal share was a time-limited offer, Nova Scotians can still take advantage of rebates from Efficiency Nova Scotia and the province of Nova Scotia. The maximum rebate is $1,500.
The federal government announced on Sunday, January 29, 2012 that it was no longer taking applicants for its portion, known as the EcoEnergy Retrofit program. If you already registered for the federal portion visit the NRCan website to ensure you understand the deadlines. Please read the federal news release at: http://oee.nrcan.gc.ca/residential/personal/retrofit/16462 for details.
Efficiency Nova Scotia’s EnerGuide program continues, energy auditors and contractors are still working across the province, and our team is ready to help you with any questions you might have.
With or without incentives, when you improve your home’s energy efficiency, you are going to save money on every power bill or heating bill from that point on. Year after year after year.
