The Gold Bright Buildings Award shines twice as bright for winner Eastport Properties. Their two 65,000 sq. ft. Dartmouth warehouses were built with energy efficiency in mind. Solar PV, heat pumps, and heat recovery ventilators help them operate exactly as designed, while offering a more comfortable environment for anyone inside.
Eskasoni Health Centre
Congratulations to Gold Bright Building Award winner, Eskasoni Health Centre. This community health services hub was built with energy efficiency. By installing air to water heat pump systems, heat recovery ventilators, and more, the building uses less energy, and occupants are enjoying the good things efficiency brings.
Membertou Sport & Wellness Centre
The Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre is a hub for the community, and now, a Silver Bright Building Winner. With two ice surfaces, a walking track, YMCA gym and event spaces, there were many areas where they could implement energy efficiency. From the building envelope to the ice surfaces, they made many updates and are now enjoying the good things efficiency brings. Congratulations on your win!
St. Joseph’s Square
Energy efficiency makes for a cozier home at St. Joseph’s Square—a 106-unit apartment building in the North End. A Silver Bright Buildings Award Winner, developers worked with us to include things like hybrid heat pumps, heat recovery ventilators, and high efficiency appliances into the building. Tenants are more comfortable, and everyone involved is now enjoying the good things efficiency brings. Congrats!
Gottingen St. housing project, The Velo, is a Silver Bright Buildings Award Winner. This building is as energy efficient as it is ‘Instagrammable,’ with inclusions such as a heat pump system connected to in-floor radiant heating, heat recovery ventilators, and heat pump water heating. These efficiencies make tenants more comfortable, while also making units more affordable. Congratulations!
