Eligibility Criteria

General eligibility Open to participants who have not yet entered a binding agreement to acquire energy efficiency measures or services required to install the measures.

Project eligibility

The facility must be served directly or indirectly by Nova Scotia Power Target project savings must be greater than 10% reduction of annual energy consumption per facility

Energy use eligibility Facilities must consume at least 1,000,000 kWh annually. Up to five buildings can be combined to meet this requirement.

Documentation Participants must have a minimum of 12 months of interval meter data of typical usage, at hourly resolution or better, from a revenue-grade meter.

FAQs

Organizations are paid for the energy savings achieved.

A minimum of 10% electrical energy reduction is required, and incentives will only be paid for electric energy savings.

P4P participants are NOT eligible for other Efficiency Nova Scotia energy efficiency incentives or rebates, including direct point-of-sale rebates, during the duration of the agreement, for the same P4P energy efficiency measures at a participating P4P site. Solar incentives are permitted but will occur under a separate rebate application (and the P4P program must be notified). Any on-site generation must be outside the project boundary.
