Enroll 100 kilowatts and drop this load for each event: Get $10,000 at the end of the season.
Enroll 200 kilowatts but the average load drop over 12 events is 160 kilowatts: Get $100 x (average kW) performance = $16,000.

General eligibility Open to businesses that can participate by manually shutting down equipment or through automation. Businesses must not be participating in and/or receiving incentives from an existing demand response or demand reduction program.
Eligible measures All measures that consume electricity are eligible. For example: HVAC, lighting, motors, pumping, etc.
Participant eligibility Participants must:
Be a Nova Scotia Power customer
Be the utility account holder
Have utility-provided interval metering capable of providing continuous interval data at a minimum granularity of fifteen minutes
Be on either a 10, 11, 12, 21, 22, or 23 rate code
Demand response energy management can help Nova Scotia avoid building costly new generating infrastructure. It can also help retire coal-fired generation, supporting the Province's transition to a cleaner electricity grid.
