Start your home’s energy efficiency journey for $199
Make your home more comfortable and energy efficient by keeping your valuable heat inside with heat pumps, better insulation, draft-proofing, windows, doors, and other upgrades. Book your Home Energy Assessment to see where your home is losing heat, what you can do to improve it and what home energy rebates and interest-free financing you may be eligible for.
In Nova Scotia, the federal Canada Greener Homes Grant initiative is co-delivered with Efficiency Nova Scotia’s provincial Home Energy Assessment (HEA) program. Anyone who enrolls in HEA and meets Greener Homes eligibility will automatically be considered for federal rebates and has the option to apply for an interest-free loan.
Please note: The Canada Greener Homes Grant is a multi-year program that has generated significant interest for HEA. If you are placed on a waitlist by one of our Service Providers, we ask that you please refrain from contacting other Service Providers to minimize scheduling conflicts. We thank you for your patience as we work to meet the high demand for energy assessments across the province.
In 2-3 hours, a Registered Energy Advisor will help you see where your home is losing heat, suggest improvements that can be made and share a list of rebates you may be eligible to receive.
Take advantage of up to $5,000 in rebates on a variety of upgrades like heat pumps, insulation and more. Through the Canada Greener Homes Grant, homeowners can access up to an additional $5,000 in rebates towards their energy efficiency upgrades. That’s up to $10,000 total in rebates!
Full list of rebates available soon
Before starting renovations, homeowners who are eligible for the Canada Greener Homes Grant and who wish to make major renovations to their homes may be eligible for an interest-free loan of up to $40,000 through the Canada Greener Homes Loan to finance these renovations. For more information, visit the program’s webpage or begin your application.
If your home is eligible, book an appointment with a Registered Energy Advisor. For the low cost of $199, they will assess your home and recommend what upgrades make the most sense for your home.
Solar PV systems must be designed and installed by an Efficiency Nova Scotia Registered Solar Installer.
