POSTPONED – Building Energy Modelling in E-QUEST Training

Description: This training is designed for those who have already prepared energy models but are looking for more experience. The training is aimed at ensuring that architects, engineers, and consultant engineers in Nova Scotia have the opportunity to enhance their energy modelling skills in accordance with the trends of the energy industry.
- Participants MUST be familiar with basic energy modelling concepts and have done models using the E-QUEST software to ensure their familiarity with the software features.
- While the Building Energy Modelling in E-QUEST review session is focused on the requirements of a successful energy model, we also offer four coaching sessions to allow participants the opportunity to: Review specific modelling thematics with a modelling expert; ask questions about modelling during Q&A sessions; be presented with a modelling scenario to work on in preparation for the next coaching session.
In this sequence, you will:
- Review the fundamentals of energy modelling.
- Prepare multiple energy models.
- Use the E-QUEST software.
- Ensure your energy models are compliant with the National Energy Code for Buildings (2020).
- Get hands-on experience in commercial new construction modelling.
