Course Overview

The Heat Pumps Essentials course is a one-day program designed for energy efficiency professionals.

It covers the basics of heat pumps, their types, and refrigerants. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to understand, select, and advocate for heat pumps in various settings.

The course includes tools for developing a comprehensive understanding of heat pump systems and pitching projects to clients. An integrative sales scenario activity at the end prepares participants for success in the HVAC industry.

This course aims to promote energy-efficient thermal comfort in diverse building types and is open to participants from all sectors.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how heat pumps work.

  • Differentiate the types and form factors of heat pumps.

  • Consider building parameters to implement the right heat pump system.

  • Justify a heat pumps service offer.

  • Sell a heat pump project to a client.
