No. You'll need to get preapproval before purchase or installation. This is so we can verify product eligibility and calculate the energy savings and rebate amount for your project before you make any commitments.
Our rebate amounts are calculated based on how much energy your upgrade is expected to save. The more energy an upgrade is expected to save, the higher the rebate. We cannot guarantee a specific percentage of your project costs as a rebate, but the best way to improve the rebate is by comparing multiple quotes to find the most efficient options available to you for the lowest cost. We are happy to issue rebate preapprovals on multiple quotes to help you make a decision.
You can use any contractor or business you want! Just make sure they have the required knowledge and safety certifications. If you don't have someone lined up, we encourage you to check out the trusted contractors in our Efficiency Preferred Partner network.
You'll find all eligible equipment and rebate amounts in our commercial rebate guides .
No! You can apply anytime. Just send an SBES commercial rebate application and a detailed quote to rebates@efficiencyns.ca to get started. If you want to make energy efficient upgrades but don't know where to start, you may qualify for an energy assessment.
