Home Energy Assessments – Sarah

My home is warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer, and all around more comfortable. The process was simple and hassle-free.
Insulation Upgrades Save $1,250 per Year
Sarah lives in an old farmhouse just outside of New Glasgow, and was on the fence about whether to update the insulation in her attic or basement. After her Home Energy Assessment, she decided to upgrade both, along with some air sealing, and couldn’t believe the difference it made in both her bills and the comfort of her home, especially in the winter. Sarah received over $1,200 in rebates, with the final project costing $6,300 and a payback period of 4.3 years. The upgrades improved her EnerGuide rating from 138 GJ to 86 GJ.
