Home Energy Assessments – The Isaac Family

Rebates of $1,150 and annual savings of $1,600 for the Isaacs

Although the insulation was already quite efficient with an EnerGuide rating of 148 GJ, the house was due for some upgrades to the heating, hot water, and ventilation systems. Upon completion of their Home Energy Assessment, the Isaacs decided to go through with the recommended upgrades. They received a $450 heat pump rebate, $300 heat recovery ventilator rebate, and a $400 heat pump hot water heater rebate. The total project cost was $11,300 with a payback period of 6.3 years.
