IBEW: Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure Training

EVITP: The Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP™) was designed to address the need for installation and maintenance of the EV charging infrastructure in the safest and most cost-effective manner. The EVITP helps to ensure quality and standardization of the installation of EV charging infrastructure and supports the development of the workforce in the EV sector. All Red Seal certified electrical installers, inspectors and instructors are eligible for additional certification through the EVITP.

• Utility interconnect policies and requirements
• Utility grid stress precautions
• Installing, commission and maintaining electrical
• Storage devices
• Charging station fundamentals
• Service level assessments and upgrade implementation
• Canadian Electrical Code requirements
• First Responder safety and fire hazard measures
