Description: Through this online course, participants are introduced to the basic principles of residential air systems. A combination of mathematical skills are reviewed to assist in basic calculations of airflow dynamics. Participants then move onto learning basic concepts including covering house construction components, basics of heat loss/heat gain, pressures, ducts & fittings, and an overview of different types of residential forced air systems. The course also covers basic air system selection and regulatory topics.
This online course is a must have for the HVAC Professional wanting to build their basic knowledge of air system design, and this session is a pre-requisite prior to the full 4 day HRAI Residential Air System Design course.
